Montessori School Room
Lamha Beaga Childcare consists of a pre-Montessori class and a Montessori class. The school is equipped with carefully arranged Montessori materials, furnished with child sized furniture, and staffed by fully qualified and dedicated teachers whom have been with us for many years.
Our curriculum is very individualized which allows each child to progress at his/her own pace. The size and nature of the Montessori school lends itself well to this principle and we pride ourselves on this small environment.
At Lamha Beaga Childcare children develop self-confidence, independence, self-discipline, critical thinking and most importantly a passion for learning with they will retain throughout there life.
Nursery
Your Babies first year of their life is an amazing time, filled with discovery and enormous growth. It is no secret that what they learn in early life will be critical to success in school, relationships and life.
We appreciate that it can be the most difficult to leave your child in someone else’s care and be confident that he/she will get the same care and stimulation you would give them. We assure you that Lamha Beaga Childcare can and will put your mind at ease.
It is for these reasons that our Nursery stands out from usual crèches. We cater for a maximum of 23 children in total at our Nursery with a ration 1:3 right up until two years of age. Our Nursery is small and personal and we can offer all the benefits of a nanny except in a more stimulating environment. Again our girls are fully qualified and have been with us for many years. This level of consistency is invaluable for your child.
Our Baby Room is small and personal with a maximum capacity of three babies. This ensures your baby gets the best care from a practical perspective and also from a stimulation point of view. We place huge emphasis on the most practical elements of your babies first year for example sleep and feeding. We work with you with regards to your babies routine with flexibility being the key. When your baby starts with us we keep them in the routine that they are used to and make sure you as parents are entirely happy with every aspect of their care so that you may return to work with peace of mind.
Our Nursery Nurses will build a bond of trust with your baby and with you, and provide a warm and loving environment where your baby will build confidence in themselves and develop positive and trusting relationships. It is the kind of baby care environment where your baby will flourish and be happy.
Staff are kept up to date on current child protection procedures. It is our policy to report any suspicions about physical, emotional, sexual abuse or neglect to the health board. Parents are kept informed and confidentiality will be maintained at all times. If a member of staff is accused of abuse, the matter will be investigated immediately in collaboration with external authorities, and other users of the service will be protected.

Parental Involvement
We pride ourselves on working closely and collaboratively with our parents providing guidance, support and encouraging parental involvement.
We believe that parents are an integral part of their children’s education. We work with parents to help each child develop the highest sense of self-esteem, mutual respect, and love of learning.
Weekly Menus
All our meat fruit and vegetables are sourced from local Butchers and delivered to our premises by refrigerated transport weekly.
Absolutely no salt is added to any meals and no jars or packets are used in our cooking. Drinks are served with all meals and in between when necessary.
If you have any queries about the changes to our menu please do not hesitate to ask one of the girls or indeed myself.
